考研英语单词不尽其数，且词形和意义多变，想要每个词义都背到，是不可能的。大家可以通过猜词技巧和方法来攻克这一难题，那么，考研英语单词应该如何猜词意?下面一起来看看。

　　1.利用词根词缀

　　常见的词根词缀是考生必须掌握的，这也是大纲明确要求的。举个例子：geo-作为前缀，表示"地球"，则有了：geography地理学， 地理;geology地质学 。所以如果所猜测的单词是以该前缀开头，则包含于地球相关的意思。over-前缀，表示"越过，超过"，则有了：overcrowded过于拥挤的;overestimate估计过高;overactive过于活跃。由此推测，over-前缀应有超过的意思。

　　2.利用正向关系或方向关系

　　如果上下文是正向关系，则能找到同义词或同义解释;如果上下文是反向关系，则能找到反义词或反义解释。总之，很多时候在上下文中都可以找出生词的其他表达法，可能是近义词、反义词、一个解释或一些暗示。

　　区分论点和论据是考研英语大纲的明确要求，识别例证关系对于考生而言也相对比较容易，也是解决猜词题的一种常用方法。下面来看例子：
